Often CEOs think they “have it made” when they close a round of institutional capital. However, the odds are still more than 80% against them, with only 1 in 6,300 companies ever reaching $100M in sales for a large exit.
Most VCs play the “Home Run Game” meaning if you are not rapidly successful, they walk away without further funding (risk).
